Ashanti Regional Minister deeply Involved in Galamsey -Wendell Yeboah
The Head of Mobilization at Democracy Hub has accused the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, of his direct involvement in illegal mining (galamsey) in the region.
According to him, the fight against galamsey continues to fail because some high-ranking officials who are supposed to protect the nation’s natural resources are the very individuals fueling the destruction.
“The fight against galamsey has failed because we have high-ranking government officials involved in the act”, he said.
In an interview on Aluta FM’s Anopa Koko with Agyaba Kwaku, Wendell Yeboah said that he possesses concrete evidence to back his claims.
“I have clear evidence and I can assure you that the Ashanti and Western-North Regional Ministers are deeply rooted in galamsey”, he revealed
Mr. Yeboah opined that he is ready to release his evidence at the appropriate time, emphasizing that the public deserves to know the truth behind Ghana’s escalating environmental crisis.
“I have the evidence, and anytime, they can take me to court. I will reveal everything.” He added.
