Spokesperson to the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hussein Ibrahim, has strongly refuted allegations suggesting that Dr. Frank Amoakoh is involved in illegal mining activities (galamsey).
Dr. Frank Amoakohene has been accused of deeply involved in galamsey by the Head of Mobilization at Democracy Hub, Wendell Yeboah.
However, in an interview on Aluta FM’s Anopa Koko withAgyaba Kwaku, Mr. Hussein Ibrahim, described the claims as “complete falsehoods.”
According to him, Dr. Amoakoh has never been associated with galamsey and has, in fact, consistently expressed strong opposition to the practice.
“Dr. Amoakohene considers galamsey as his enemy and cannot engage himself in such menace. It is just an attempt to destroy the hard won reputation of the Minister,” he said.
Mr. Ibrahim further revealed that the team is prepared to take a legal action against individuals spreading these allegations.
He reiterated that anyone claiming to have evidence must be ready to defend their statements before the appropriate authorities.
“We will take legal steps to ensure he comes forward to prove the so-called evidence,” he emphasized.
He urged the public to disregard the accusations, describing them as baseless attempts to tarnish reputations.
