Mainoo would represent pure PSR profit for the Red Devils, as he is an academy product, and Chelsea are currently reported to be leading the race.
Bayern are said to be long-term admirers of Mainoo, who has won 10 England caps and made 53 senior appearances for the club. His contract runs until 2027. United are currently unwilling to match the midfielder’s demands, throwing his future into doubt. United manager Ruben Amorim has already demanded more from him.
